Dmytro Kuleba: Lengthy tank talks risk soldiers鈥� lives
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has told 麻豆官网首页入口 News that he has no doubt Ukraine will receive German-made Leopard 2 tanks.
鈥淭he only question is when, and now we are focused on making it happen rather sooner than later,鈥� Mr Kuleba told the 麻豆官网首页入口 Hardtalk programme鈥檚 Stephen Sackur on Monday.
Ukraine and many of its allies have been pushing for the country to receive the German Leopard 2 tank, from both Germany and Western countries who also operate it.
However the transfer of equipment can only go with the say so of Berlin.
Mr Kuleba said he is campaigning for the transfer to happen as soon as possible.
鈥淓very day of protracted discussion,鈥� the foreign minister said, 鈥渕eans more Ukrainian soldiers will die because of the lack of weapons鈥�.
