Bristol remembers the Dambusters
Listen to George ‘Johnny’ Johnson tell the story of this daring World War Two mission in his own words. The "Dambusters" mission was one of the most dangerous air operations of the war. Johnny, who was born in Lincolnshire and lived in Bristol, was just 21 when he took part in the 1943 operation. After a long campaign, he was made an MBE in 2017 for his services to World War Two.
