Kelvin Kiptum: 'Two-hour marathon barrier will be broken before long'

Kenyan Kelvin Kiptum shattered the men's marathon world record in Chicago as he beat compatriot Eliud Kipchoge's previous mark by more than 30 seconds.

The 23-year-old finished in a time of two hours 35 seconds for his third victory in as many starts over 26.2 miles.

Athletics journalist Alex Seftel talks to Sport Today presenter Nick Hatton about how far modern marathon runners are being assisted by high-tech new shoes and predicts that it won't be long before the first sub-two hour marathon time will be recorded.
