A family's lives were changed forever after their son developed a mystery illness with no obvious underlying cause.

Peter Keil and his wife Emma took their son Jude to hospital last February after his symptoms, including shortness of breath, got worse.

Jude was a perfectly healthy little boy up until then - but is now in a wheelchair, unable to stand on his feet or move his arms or head, but his brain hasn't been affected.

Speaking to 5 Live鈥檚 Naga Munchetty, Peter said 鈥淲e have promised Jude that we will help him in every way, shape or form.鈥�
