Camberley stink "affected resident's mental health"
A damning report into a persistent foul smell in Camberley last year has been published.
For several months in 2023, raw sewage sludge sat untreated at Thames Water's sewage treatment plant. The report - by the Consumer Council for Water - details the effect this had on local residents.
A spokesperson for Thames Water said it is "deeply sorry" to customers across Camberley for what it calls "abnormal levels of odour last summer" and the company take full responsibility for it.
