Idles frontman Joe Talbot: 'Art and music is a channel for everyone'
Idles frontman, Joe Talbot, explains the creative process to his music, adding that music can be a creative channel for anyone.
Joe explains how he's uninterested in writing music for everyone, instead wanting to cultivate a sound for "my people".
"I'm trying to write something idiosyncratic and true and for me and my people, that's not for everyone", he said.
He added that over the Idles' five albums, one can see his creative journey - which has been punctuated by becoming a father.
Joe recently held a talk at his daughter's school.
"I was just saying if you make a noise, if you make a mark on a piece of paper and you believe in it then you are an artist - just go out there and don't let gate keepers stop you from learning you", he exclaimed.
