Caister sewage plant causing very serious problem
A parish council chairman says Anglian Water needs to do more to stop raw sewage being pumped off their beach.
There's an outfall from the Caister Sewage Treatment Works which was used over a hundred times in the past year.
Anglian Water says it had to deal with many incidents of heavy rain overwhelming their network, but that it does have plans to invest to reduce the discharges. Also, it says it now monitors all of its outfall discharges, which has pushed up the figures from recorded data.
Andrew Turner's been asking the parish council chairman Kevin Wood about the problem and its impact.
