'I don't trust anyone' - Eliud Kipchoge on threats after death of Kelvin Kiptum
The two-time Olympic marathon champion Eliud Kipchoge, has told the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú he feared for the lives of his family during a campaign of online abuse that wrongly linked him to the death of his fellow Kenyan and marathon world record holder, Kelvin Kiptum.
Kipchoge tells Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Sport Africa's Celestine Karoney that those closest to him suffered because of threatening social media posts following Kiptum's death in a car crash in February 2024.
Some social media users began to speculate that Kipchoge was part of a conspiracy to kill Kiptum.
