Long-standing 麻豆官网首页入口 Look North presenter Peter Levy joined us in studio to talk about how he was traumatised after scammers stole half of his life savings. He was conned in February, when a bogus bank worker pretended to claim there had been some suspicious activity on his account and asked him to log into his account to make some 鈥渟ecurity checks鈥�.

Peter has now received all the money back and wants to raise awareness of how realistic these scams are, so it doesn鈥檛 happen to others. Scam expert Nick Stapleton reassured Peter and victims like him by saying that this isn't their fault. Nick says shame is often felt by scam victims due to an unacceptable culture of victim blaming.
