Businesses 'at risk' over Bromsgrove roadworks
Hear from High Street businesses who say their future is in jeopardy because of works to develop the pavement in Bromsgrove town centre.
The six month project got underway in April, with Worcestershire County Council and Bromsgrove District Council wanting to improve the paving surface and drainage. They're also installing new cycle parking, benches and trees.
Caf茅 bosses Sarah Turner and David Clifford told our reporter Matt Hutchinson they had seen a major drop in footfall and profit since construction started.
In a statement, Worcestershire County Council said: "Improvements of this kind are shown to improve footfall and economic activity, although we recognise it can be inconvenient.
"In advance of the works, we liaised with all businesses who are directly impacted and continue to engage to try and assist wherever possible."
