How did Olympic preparations save Badminton player Chou Tien-chen's life?
Preparations for the Olympics can be emotionally and physically draining, but for Taiwan badminton star Chou Tien-chen, his preparations actually may have saved his life.
When a gap opened up in his schedule last year ahead of the qualifying period for the Olympics, Chou went for a routine full medical examination to make sure he was in the best shape possible.
Instead of finding niggles or possible injuries that could occur, Chou was given the news that he had colon cancer.
Now back on the court, he's told Sportshour's Nishat Ladha about his recollections from the day he received his diagnosis.
