‘What Acorns Children’s Hospice did for me and Lily-Mai’
Worcester mum Liz Bishop reflects on the care taken by the hospice in their days of need, and reveals the extended care they received after her daughter passed away.
Lily-Mai had been bravely battling a brain tumour for four years, and when her condition deteriorated in the summer of 2018, the family trusted the hospice to help them say goodbye.
Liz tells Tammy Gooding her and her family's story, including how Lily-Mai stayed in one of the charity's special bedrooms, where the family can stay by their child's side, until they are ready to say their final goodbyes.
