Malvern crash accused 'could be extradited'
A shocking car smash left a woman seriously injured, only for the other driver to fly back to Texas, skipping a court appearance. Now that American driver is facing justice, after he was arrested in the USA, where he's facing extradition proceedings back to the UK.
Elizabeth Donowho is a mental health nurse from Malvern, and suffered multiple fractures, after the crash, which happened on the A4103 in Herefordshire last July.
Issac Calderon, who's 23 and was here on a work visa, was charged with causing 'serious injury by dangerous driving', but never appeared in court last December, because already he'd flown back to Texas.
This week he appeared at a court in Houston, starting a legal process that could see him extradited back here.
Elizabeth's lawyer, Radd Seiger, has been telling Tammy Gooding his thoughts on the development.
