A large derelict building in the town turned in to an inferno, on Park Lane, on Saturday 7th September 2024.

More than 30 firefighters raced to the old factory, next door to the Matalan clothes store.

People who live nearby were told to keep windows shut while they spent hours bringing the blaze under control.

Police are still treating it as a crime scene, with the road at time of publishing still closed to traffic, due to debris.
