'How we raised £750,000 for families everywhere'
Bromsgrove couple Richard & Charlotte Sharratt set up a charity in name of their daughter, Libby Mae, who died at only two-weeks-old.
They tell Nina Das Gupta how they've since helped support 18 neo-natal units across the West Midlands, reaching out to families across our area, from their base in Catshill.
Their nominator said: 'The couple supply resources to improve those journeys for babies and their families, and their work has included significantly donating towards huge purchases, for hospitals and parents. At Christmas and on Mother's Day, they ensure that every single family on the units receives a card and gift, which can often be the child's first ever card and visit from Santa, and sadly, sometimes their last'.
Richard and Charlotte, with their charity Libby Mae's Little Angels, were crowned winners in the fundraiser category of the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Hereford & Worcester Make A Difference Awards 2024, in a ceremony at West Midlands Safari Park.
