Clehonger’s community champion
The Herefordshire village stalwart helped bring the Knife Angel to her home city, in honour of her son Mark, who was killed in a knife attack.
Alison Davies tells Felicity Kvesic how she is dedicated to supporting her community, and everyone around her.
Her nominator said: 'Alison has lived in the village for a decade. Her achievements include fundraising for and developing a playground for local kids of all ages, organising the Knife Angel to come, organising coffee mornings and events for the village, and a monthly lunch café at the Clehonger Village Hall'.
She was crowned the winner in the great neighbour category of the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Hereford & Worcester Make A Difference Awards 2024, in a ceremony at West Midlands Safari Park.
