After the sacking of Erik ten Hag, Guillem Balague thinks Ruud van Nistelrooy is the long-term answer to get them back to winning ways.

The Spanish football journalist thinks Xavi, rumoured to take the helm at Old Trafford following the Dutchman's exit, won't be a good fit at the club.

"[It'll be] a leap of faith in the case of Xavi, I don't think he's the calibre that Manchester United needs.

"The solution to Manchester United is already there, it's Ruud van Nistelrooy", he said.
