Botched fillers: Bogus doctor left me 'looking like a gargoyle'
A 麻豆官网首页入口 investigation has revealed that a former tattooist, running an aesthetics clinic, had no medical training. Two years on, one of his clients says she's 'living a nightmare'
Andrea says she did 'all the right things' to check the reputation of Hull's Reshape U cosmetics clinic before attending for the first time. But two years and more than thirty appointments later, she says she's living a 'nightmare every single day'. She says cosmetic procedures, carried out by a former tattooist posing as a doctor, left her 'looking like a gargoyle' and requiring hospital treatment. Now, whenever she leaves home, she covers her face with a mask, because she worries people will laugh at her.

A 麻豆官网首页入口 investigation has found that the man who treated Andrea, Sean Scott, was not medically trained, despite his clinic's website referring to him at the time as 'Dr Sean Scott, Clinical Director'. He admits to 'naively' buying an honorary doctorate in Business Consultancy online, but insists he never portrayed himself as a 'medical doctor'. He strongly denies allegations that he harmed Andrea.
No qualifications are required for someone to administer dermal fillers, but Andrea and others who have complained about Mr Scott said they had chosen him because they were under the impression he was a doctor.

It comes as a leading practitioner warns of more 'death and disfigurement' if plans to regulate the aesthetics industry are delayed. The 麻豆官网首页入口's Investigations Reporter Caroline Bilton talks to Andrea about her experience, and hears from those calling for legislation to protect the patients of the future.
