The popular social media platform, TikTok, is appearing before the US Supreme Court today in a last-ditch effort to overturn an imminent US ban.

And in Venezuela, President Nicol谩s Maduro is set to be sworn in today for the third term to lead his country, despite a six-month dispute over a July election and international calls for him to stand aside.
