Mysterious Murder of Juan Borgia
Who was responsible for one of history's great unsolved murders?
In June 1497, Juan - or Giovanni - Borgia, favoured son of Pope Alexander VI, was found brutally murdered in the River Tiber. Suspects ranged from Juan's ambitious brother Cesare to the Borgias' enemies, the Orsini family. Despite an extensive investigation, Juan's murder remains one of history's great cold cases. Professor Suzannah Lipscomb is joined by Professor Catherine Fletcher as they delve further into the Borgias' treacherous Renaissance world.
