American sketch show Saturday Night Live turns 50

The weekly TV show has helped generations of comedians and musicians with their big breaks. The band the B-52s played their hit song "Rock Lobster" on SNL in 1980. And the group's singer and keyboard player, Kate Pierson, reminisces with Newshour's Krupa Padhy about that, and performing at the SNL's 50th anniversary concert in New York city.
