Becoming a drag queen in the countryside
Boo La Croux loves animals, lives on a farm in Herefordshire and can regularly be found at pride events in Hereford and Hay.
Boo - the creation of Dean Goodwin-Evans - is a former Miss Drag UK, farmer, professional hairdresser, lover of horses, performer, event host, singer, DJ and fundraiser for numerous charities, including Be More Frank.
In an interview marking LGBTQ+ History Month, the drag queen tells Tammy Gooding about growing up in the shadow of section 28, and how - ever since she started moved to a rural area - she has made it her mission to support others in being who they want to be. Her book, 'Queen From No Scene' was released in July 2024.
