Stephen Graham: Young male violence 'hurts my heart'
Adolescence, a new series released on Netflix today, tells the story of how a family鈥檚 world is turned upside down when 13-year-old Jamie Miller is arrested for the murder of a teenage girl who goes to his school.
Stephen Graham, who co-wrote the series with Jack Thorne and also stars as Jamie Miller's dad, said the idea came about after he read a news story about a young boy who had stabbed a young girl to death.
The Crown actor Erin Docherty plays a child psychologist and told Today's Amol Rajan the programme explores the link between social media and young men "not really knowing where to find" their place.
