Rugby and dancing may be two very different games, by sports star Ugo Monye is ready for the two worlds to collide!

Ugo's incredible rugby career started off at school in London. His passion for the sport grew in his teens as he played for Hampshire's U17s and U20s teams, leading him to sign with Harlequins aged 18 - a team he would stay with until his retirement in 2015. As part of the squad he made 241 appearances, won a Premiership Title and is still the club's third highest try scorer ever.

Away from Harlequins he played for England's Sevens team, racking up more impressive accolades that saw him make his England main team debut in 2008. He soon became a key player for the country, gaining international recognition as part of the 2009 Six Nations squad and British and Irish Lions Tour of South Africa.

Since retiring in 2015, Ugo has become a familiar face of rugby on-screen coverage, as well as co-hosting the Rugby Union Weekly podcast for the 麻豆官网首页入口. He also recently became the first Chairman of England Rugby’s new Diversity and Inclusion committee and is set to be a team captain on the relaunch of panel show A Question of Sport.

But how will Ugo tackle the world of ballroom and Latin dancing? "I like to think I’d be an obedient student. I really want to have a laugh," he said. "It’s a competition of course, but you want to have the best experience and part of that is having fun and a smile on your face."
