Bairstow
Bairstow is a man with many fingers in many pies. Formerly a detective, he is now a political advisor 鈥� come spin doctor - for Edmund. He has his eyes and ears to the ground in the village and intercepts anything that may jeopardise Edmund鈥檚 鈥� and his 鈥� political climb.

Joe [Armstrong] rang me up and talked me through all the different Yorkshire accents and their nuances, subtle differences in tone and inflection and how the town I'd chosen for Bairstow's home town wasn't quite right because the accent he uses is slightly different.
