A chance encounter with Sir Alex Ferguson gave Gerry his first insight into the football industry

Gerry Carlisle grew up on the Falls Road in West Belfast and worked as a car dealer before starting his own agency. Chance encounters with Sir Alex Ferguson, Paul McVeigh and Philip Mulryne inspired him to pursue a career in football. After failing the agent test with IFA twice, he passed on his third attempt and became the first FIFA registered agent in in Northern Ireland in 2007 at the age of 28.

Since becoming an agent, he has represented some of Northern Ireland's top footballers such as Niall McGinn, Paddy McCourt, and Kyle Rafferty. In 2010 Gerry opened his first restaurant Failte, followed by other businesses like 26 West in Belfast and Light Nightclub in Scotland.

He has now started his own public relations firm representing local businesses across the country.
