Dr Andrew Conlan

Andrew Conlan is a University Lecturer in Epidemiology in the Department of Veterinary Medicine at The University of Cambridge. Studying Mathematical Physics at the University of Edinburgh, he then moved into infectious disease epidemiology with a PhD on the control of measles epidemics in developing countries. Since then he has worked on a range of infectious diseases that could potentially be controlled by vaccination including bovine Tuberculosis, measles, pertussis, norovirus and meningitis. He works closely with medics, veterinarians, social scientists and policy makers for both public and animal health and has advised both the WHO and Defra.
