Germans vote in snap election
The vote was triggered by the collapse of Chancellor Olaf Scholz鈥檚 coalition
Germans are voting today in a closely watched snap election to elect a new government following the collapse of a coalition of the social democrats, liberals and greens parties.
Also in the programme: Israel has suspended the planned release of six-hundred Palestinian prisoners accusing Hamas of violating the ceasefire terms; and we get a taste of the array of films at this year鈥檚 Berlinale Film Festival as it marks its 75th anniversary.
