Five years after one of Mozambique鈥檚 worst ever cyclones, Nomsa Maseko returns to the city of Beira to meet people at the forefront of the fight against climate change.
Five years after reporting on one of Mozambique鈥檚 worst cyclones, the 麻豆官网首页入口鈥檚 Nomsa Maseko returns to the city of Beira to meet the people on the frontline of climate change. With scientists predicting that such storms will become more powerful and dangerous because of global warming, work is underway to build the resilience to extreme weather, from builders learning techniques to construct stronger houses, to volunteers educating people in how to evacuate safely. The future of life and livelihoods in this region hangs in the balance, but these people want to help their communities adapt.
