The Kooks perform at Maida Vale in the Live Lounge minus drummer Paul who's hurt his arm.

The group have a busy festival schedule lined up for the Summer including V Festival, T in the Park and Oxygen.

Lead guitarist and vocalist Hugh talks about their festival experiences and his highlights so far being seeing MGMT and Radiohead.

The band respond to whether they would ever perform at a festival organised by David 'The Hoff' Hasslehoff and their experience on an American phone-in show where they had to give sex advice to callers!

They talk about being best known in the U.S. for their cover version of Gnarls Barkley's Crazy from their previous Live Lounge on Radio 1.

The group explain why they enjoyed making their second studio album, The Konk, as they had the freedom to be as creative as they wanted even though former bassist Max Rafferty left during the making of the album. Hugh revealed that Max is still making music and is forming a new band.

Hear the Kooks perform a live lullaby version of their single Shine On and a cover of one of Hugh's favourite singles by Coldplay, the number one hit, Violet Hill.
