Where are you from?
Oxfordshire.

What were you doing before Radio 1?
Working as an entertainment reporter for Unique, which provides showbiz news for commerical radio stations.

Best part of the job?
Too many to mention - I'm very lucky I get to interview interesting people and get paid for it.

Worst on air moment?
I tend to get the giggles really badly, it's most unprofessional and I'm rubbish at covering it up.听I was once interviewing a government minister and I started laughing and vaguely tried to pretend I had a cough, it was so obvious. I'll also never learn and tend to sing along to whatever's playing before I'm supposed to talk on the radio which often ends in me making a tit of myself.

Three words that describe you:
Enthusiastic, cheerful and hard-working. (Honest).

Advice to anyone who wants to get started in journalism:
Stick with it - you'll often hear how hard it is to have a career in journalism - and it's not easy, but if you're determined and any good, you'll be fine.

Where would you like to be in 10 years' time?
Hawaii.

What's on your walls at home?
Photos of my cats, signed pictures from Moby, Bruce Dickinson, Dolly Parton and the cast of Love Actually (not together).

Who would you most like to interview?
I've had a fab time lately and have managed to interview some of my favourites already - Dave Grohl, Johnny Depp and听Jason Lee from My Name Is Earl. So I think for now, it'd have to be the cast of ER, preferably at County General, as that's still my favourite TV show. Love Dr Kovac...

If you could be famous, what would you be famous for?
Winning an Oscar.

My top three albums ever are:
Does change often depending on how much coffee (in the am) or wine (in the pm) have consumed.听 Likely to include something from the Foo Fighters, Blur, Green Day, Elliott Smith, Jack Johnson, classic Bowie/Beatles, maybe a bit of Tenacious听D.

I spend my time off...
Watching movies, going to gigs, making excuses on why I don't have to go to the gym, seeing friends and playing with my cats.
