Women's听rights in Saudi Arabia 21 Sep 2007
The League of Demanders of Women鈥檚 Right To Drive Cars

Saudi Arabia is the only country in the world in which women are not allowed to drive. In 1990 a group of women were arrested when they took part in a driving protest. Now another newly formed group of women plans to deliver a petition to King Abdullah Bin-Abd-al-Aziz Al Saud.

Ritula speaks to one of the women leading the campaign and to Saudi political analyst, Dr. Mai Yamani听about the challenges faced by women trying to bring about change in this deeply conservative society.
