Forty years ago former Romanian dictator Nicolae Ceausescu introduced a forced breeding policy for his country. Contraception was restricted and abortion was criminalised, forcing the practice underground. Jane discusses the impact of this social experiment with Dennis Deletant from听University College London and Anamaria Marinca, the Romanian actress and star of the new film '4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days' which won the prestigious 'Palme D鈥橭r' award at the Cannes film festival. It tells the story of a Romanian backstreet abortion during the final years of communism.听
