Michelle Obama 26 August 2008
What role is she playing in the Democratic campaign for the presidency?

Michelle Obama, like Hillary Clinton before her, is a successful lawyer who has come in for some heavy criticism. Accused of being an angry woman and “Obama’s bitter half”, she’s also an impassioned and accomplished public speaker who has impressed millions of her husband’s supporters. So is she the victim of misogynist opponents and the media, or has she made her own mistakes in the campaign? In the aftermath of her speech to the Democratic National Convention we discuss the woman who could become America’s next First Lady. Jenni talks to 鶹ҳ correspondent Laura Kuenssberg and the broadcaster, writer and Obama supporter, Candace Allen.
