The impact of violence on the country's women
An atmosphere of hope was described as Zimbabwe鈥檚 population went to the polls on 29 March. Now, in the wake of the opposition Movement for Democratic Change鈥檚 withdrawal from this week鈥檚 run-off, there appears to be an overriding sense of terror and violence, with widespread reports of systematic rape, torture and murder. Jenni talks to Christina Lamb, Foreign Affairs Correspondent of the Sunday Times and author of 'House of Stone', about the particular impact the current situation is having on the country鈥檚 women and the possible opportunities for change for the future.听 They will be joined by John Stewart, Acting Director of Zimbabwean Human Rights NGO Foreign,
House of Stone by Christina Lamb is published by Harper Perennial ISBN-13 978-0007219391
