It’s two years since civil partnerships were introduced but far more men than women are choosing to tie the knot. Are gay women reluctant to sign up to a traditionally heterosexual convention? Is it harder for a lesbian couple to go public?ÌýJane talks to writer Val McDermid who had a big party to celebrate getting hitched to her partner of 4 years and journalist Julie Bindel who only signed the document for legal reasons and to better protect herself and her partner. |
