Increase in the听number of seats for women

Recent local elections in some parts of India have for the first time reserved 50% of the seats for women, previously it was 33%. How has this level of local women鈥檚 representation evolved? Is it reflective of the broader changes in Indian women鈥檚 lives? And what kind of difference, if any, will it make? Jenni speaks to Baroness Shirley Williams, recently returned from India, and Neelima Khetan, Chief Executive of Seva Mandir, an organisation which supports rural development, including working with villagers who might become political representatives.
