The Mozambiquan singer Maiuko can claim to be descended from a royal rebel.
Her grandmother was part of the Swaziland monarchy - until she chose to marry a commoner, and a white man at that.
Maiuko's song-writing has been partly inspired by this background.
And she performs some of that music live on the programme. Maiuko is playing at Ronnie Scott's on Sunday 30 September at 7.30pm
