Beneath the Veil was a powerful look at women living under the Taliban regime.
Now she has just returned from making a second film - Unholy War, in Afghanistan.
Saira Shah talks to Jenni about her recent encounters with the dope-smoking Taliban warlords who she says unwind by listening to tapes of their favourite battles.
Unholy War will be shown on Channel 4 at 9pm on Sunday 11 November.
