In Gibraltar only men are called up for jury service. Women are allowed to volunteer but very few of them do.
Today, this is being challenged in the Supreme Court by a woman who suffered domestic violence from her partner and wants her case to be heard by a mixed jury.
Samantha Golt is a barrister in Gibraltar involved in women's rights. Martha asks her whether this challenge is likely to succeed and what the implications are for Gibraltan society.
