Ìý Pupil-teacher affairs 24ÌýNov 2005 Ìý
When a teenage crush goes too far

With teenage hormones soaring, schools can be natural hotbeds for flirtations and secret passions. It might even be consideredÌý part of growing up to develop a crush on a teacher.

But what happens when a teacher succumbs to the charms of a pupil or evenÌý pursues a pupil?
Teachers are expected to set a moral example - so it's particularly shocking when a pupil teacher affair is discovered. But following a recent space of cases, is the shock more profound when the teacher in question is a woman?

Jenni is joined by Kate Myers, academic and editor of "Teachers Behaving Badly? Dilemmas for School Leaders" (ISBN:Ìý0415321158) and Chris Keates, General Secretary NASUWT.
