A defibrillator is a device that is used to give an electric shock to the heart of someone who is suffering a cardiac arrest. The ones you will probably be most familiar with are external defibrillators which you see used in medical dramas when someone “crashes”. These are automatic devices which just need to be attached to the patient by someone. The devices themselves are mounted in the reception areas of all 麻豆官网首页入口 buildings that house over 500 people. They’re used if some is having a suspected heart attack. After you’ve summoned help you attach the device as directed and the machine will runs various checks and if it’s safe to do so and appropriate it will administer a shock to the patient.
