The Needles originally hail from Aberdeen, but they now call Glasgow their home. Dave Dixon sings and plays guitar, Paul Curtiss is on bass, Ricky Wolf is the keyboard player and Johnny Wolfe bangs the drums. They were still in school when they first came together in the late 90s and it was not long before they found infamy in their local scene. After an abundance of EPs and singles their first album, “In Search of the Needles”, came out last Autumn and they have supported such musical heavyweights as Bloc Party, The Young Knives and Muse. In the next few weeks, they’ll be on tour in Scotland, before taking off to the USA air the ‘South By South West’ festival in March. The Needles: Girl I used to Know Feumaidh tu (Beurla) fhaighinn.
