Just been to Tob for the shopping - "don't forget treats!"says him off earning an honest crust! The question is "what is a treat?" everyone has something different - is it a big fat bar of chocolate - always!! is a something from the Co-0p reduced counter like an out of date packet of ham? or is stopping on the way home at Salen Bay looking out over the Sound - watching an otter playing, the oyster catchers doing their thing and pinching myself how lucky I am to be here - and then to arrive home to unpack the boot and find these two starring at you - can I have a bar of chocolate too?? not dark just milk or white will do thank you
PS - Pepper not been seen since early this morning - what will she bring home??

the deer at the front of the picture is actually a fawn with mum behind! Pepper fancies her chances with a seagull - I've never tried venison - think it goes back to watching Bambi at a young age - mentally scarred for life!

Wild deer, wild turkey: sitting in my rocking cheer, listening to Kenny Rogers, and taking pot shots from the back porch. Sooner or later, a Thanksgiving turkey or two, and venison. Ah, the life of a southern Indiana crofter. I can wait...
