Yes it's come around again. The big competition is upon us once more on 2 September and it should be as interesting as last year I gotta say. The Telford Rocks TBoTB5 is their fifth battle of the bands competition, attracting the best of the county's unsigned acts. With so much talent on offer it's been a long road to the final. 20 bands competed in the quarter finals held at Wellington's Fusion venue, while the grand final at The Place at Oakengates Theatre will boast the competition's best six live acts. With The Floricks, You and What Army, The Deep Love Foundation, Project Valkyrie, Killa Kangorillaz, Sundowntozero, Lost in Vegas, Nine Livez, all in the final there will be some furious competition. Headline support will also be provided by popular local outfit Survival of the Fittest. This will be my first time judging anything at all, so it's going to be an interesting competition. The final will be on 2 September at The Place in Oakengates. Doors open at 7.00pm and tickets will be around 拢6 per person. It should prove to be an amazing night, so make sure you're there.
