Joan admits it wasn't easiest time in her life, but she was proud of the time she spent helping her country. The Land Army girls took over all the jobs that the men used to do while the majority of men were off fighting. Joan loved her time on the farm with the other girls, but regrets that the Land Army girls were the forgotten army.
