The one person
she confides in is Mansi, her mother-in-law and her ally. Tension quickly ensues
in this small family which leads to a supposed death of Dushyant in a fire.
This prompts both Mansi and Aisha to put the past behind them and start a new
life in a new city.
No sooner have the women settled in their new environment, when in comes Aman
(Aftab), an exuberant character with a friendly nature. Up to now no girl has
been able to touch that sensitive cord in his heart but this changes when he sets
eyes on beautiful Aisha.
Despite his obvious
charm and caring personality, Aisha manages to avoid his continual advances. Totally
bemused and hurt, Aman decides to get to the bottom of this mystery even it means
putting his life on the line.
Why is Aisha not
reciprocating to Aman's love? What dark sinister secret do Mansi and Aisha share
that none of her close relatives or friends know of?
Answers to these and more questions will be answered as Koi Mere Dil Se Pooche
takes you on a journey that is bound to send a cold chill down your spin as the
nail biting revelations reach a climatic high.
Performance wise,
Aftab is credible and is on par with his dialogue delivery. As for Sanjay Kapoor,
he takes the credit for his portrayal of the spectacular negative character. His
new makeover,i.e. his new hair cut and headstrong attitude makes his performance
noticeable on screen.
Jaya Bachchan as usual excels throughout especially in the climax scene. As for
debutante Esha, she has done an excellent debut job considering its her first
film. She is the girl to watch out for in the future, a girl who is refreshingly
different from her contemporaries in Bollywood today.
We look forward to her new release this April 2002, Na Tum Jaano Na Hum
opposite mega-superstar Hrithik Roshan.
Music by Rajesh
Roshan forms one of the highlights of the film. The background scenic presentation
of the songs definitely takes your breath away.
All in all, KMDSP
is a great entertainer full of suspense with lighter comedic moments thrown in
the form of Jaspal Bhatti.
