Like the movie title says, Hum Kisise Kum Nahin might just end up to be the best of the lot as far as Bollywood comedies are concerned. In this flick, director David Dhawan gives his best to bring out the laughter as it progresses through the story.

Munnabhai (Sanjay Dutt) is the dreaded but good-hearted underworld gangster who falls under the spell of the bewitching beauty of Komal (Aishwarya).

Unable to comprehend a sudden change in his behavior by his close associates, Munna Mobile and Pappu Pager, he is taken to a reputable psychiatrist called Dr Rastogi (Amitabh).

After a thorough checkup, Munnabhai is informed that he has been bitten by the love bug. The good doctor advises him to woo the girl in order to cure his ailment, not realising that the female in question is his younger sister!

Director Dhawan adds a further twist to the matters in hand by revealing that Komal is in fact in love with Raja (Ajay Devgan), a local vagabond of whom the doctor is unaware.

Totally oblivious of his sister's affair, Dr Rostogi takes his brotherly responsibility into his own hands by matchmaking Komal with the son of his former classmate in Malaysia. Raja of course accompanies them both by posing as Komal's close friend.

In pursuit of finding his cure, Munnabhai ends up in Malaysia too where he discovers the true relationship between Dr Rastogi and Komal.

Confused? Well you won't be, as David Dhawan cleverly manages to untwist the tangle he has created at the beginning of this story and in the process brings out a riot of laughs till the final reels.

Veteran actor, Amitabh Bachchan has shown a flair for comedy in the past and as Dr Rastogi he is once again at his comic best. The same applies to Sanjay Dutt, who has been dabbling in comic roles in recent times. Its very refreshing to see that side of him, compared with the macho image which he always portrays on screen.

As for Aishwarya, she looks beautiful as ever and excels in the peppy song sequences. But its Ajay Devgan who surprises us with his versatile comic performance, which he enacts with great ease.

Overall, this comic flick is great if you are a David Dhawan fan. But if you are in need of cheering up, then go along too.
