Based
on Ravi Khanna (Sunny Deol), this film depicts the life, love and
action of an Indian secret agent from India's Research and Analysis
Wing (RAW).
Film
opens on Ravi, as he sets off on a mission to the Kashmir border.
He
sets up a spy network to uncover the secret plans of the Pakistani
agents.
There,
he also meets Reshma (Reshma), a beautiful Kashmiri girl whose parents
were killed in a terrorist attack.
A friendship
builds up between the two and in no time Ravi decides to train her
to become a spy. But
in the process both fall in love.
Despite
this fact, duty calls. So Ravi sends her off on a mission across
the Kashmir/Pakistan border – to spy on Colonel Hidavatulla and
Isaq Khan (Amrish Puri) who are planning on making a nuclear bomb.
But
Reshma’s true identity is short-lived. She
manages to escape and returns into the arms of her lover, Ravi.
He proposes marriage.
On
their engagement day, Colonel Hidayatulla makes a fatal attack on
them which leads to their separation.
Reshma
escapes to neighbouring Pakistan but being in a state of shock,
she looses all feelings in her limbs.
A
kind rescuer takes her to Canada where she is treated under the
care of Dr Shayana (Priyanka Chopra).
Coincidentally
Ravi also ends up in Canada to accomplish his mission – now that’s
a surprise!
Dr
Shayana happens to be the daughter of an accomplice associated with
Isaq Khan.
So
to get to him, Ravi decides to win Shayana’s heart. But at that
very moment Colonel Hidayatulla uncovers the true identity of The
Hero.
What
happens next? Watch this action pack patriotic film to findout if
this secret agent really wins.
Action
packed sequences full of snow clad mountains, giant landslides and
enemy territory are only some of the visuals in this Bond style
action adventure.
This
film clearly portrays that the role of Ravi Khanna was tailor- made
for Sunny Deol.
He
got a chance to exhibit the various looks of a secret agent including
the blond streak hair and the French beard.
Preity
Zinta is radiantly refreshing throughout the film whilst ex-Miss
World, Priyanka Chopra appears natural considering that this is
her debut film.
Dil
Mein Hain Pyaar and In Mast Nigahon Mein are the best
tracks from music director, Uttam Singh.
On
the whole, excellent patriotic dialogues, awesome cinematography
and action sequences are some of the high points which will see
this Bollywood product through its box office reign.
Great
escapist cinema to release this year!
