around urbanization of villages throughout India.

deals with a month in the life of a domestic servant called Kanji
(Abhishek Bachchan).
Electricity
has recently been introduced into his grandfather's remote village
in Rajasthan.
This
may excite the residents but it also results in a power struggle.
KC
(Lara Dutta) is the daughter of the Thakur. A romance soon blossoms
between her and Kanji amidst the tensions of village modernisation.

How
the modern world takes over the lives of the villagers which have
been alien to them forms the crux of this film.
Mumbai
Se Aaya Mera Dost was officially announced and its trailor premiered
at the International Indian Film Awards (IIFAs) held in South
Africa earlier in May.
Music
director, Anu Malik composed the movie's soundtrack after carrying
out a thorough research on the musical history of Rajasthan.

The
film is directed by newcomer Apoorva Lakhia, who studied films at
New York University.
He
shows heaps of promise for the Indian film industry.
He
has already worked on productions including Die Hard 3, Addicted
To Love, The Perfect Murder and The Ice Storm.
He
was also the Assistant Director for the Aamir Khan's Oscar nominated
Lagaan.
So
going by his past achievements, Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost
is one movie this summer worth seeing.
